Planet of Zeus were fomed back in 2000. Babis and Yog decided that they could not express themselves with the bands they have played in since then. Two years later the band was eventually formed as a trio with J.V. at the bass. The band started giving live perfomances, playing with several greek bands in Athens and lately in other places around Greece. In the summer of 2004 they decided that the time was right to stop fooling around and record their first demo cd (LOOP 430). The second recording of the band took place almost one year after Loop 430. Two of the band songs are contained in the Spinalonga Records compilations In the Junkyard. On July ’06 Planet of Zeus started the recordings of their debut CD "Eleven the Hard Way". At the begining of year 2007 a new member came on board. Yog grabbed the guitar and Serapheim G. took Yog’s place behind the drums. With this line-up, they were selected to support the mighty Hermano during their European Tour on their show in Athens.Two months later, Planet of Zeus signed their first contract deal with Casket Music/Copro Records and their album is set to be released in April 2008.During all these years, they are just trying to have fun playing music and continue what bands like Motorhead, Black Sabbath, and Jimi Hendrix’s Experience where doing in the past, mixing our days hard sound with the 70s Rock n Roll feeling.
